QC Chemist

About the company/role:

• Seeking a QC Chemist with experience in pharmaceutical/cosmetics space
• Casual contract, with view to go permanent
• Located in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne
• Mon-Fri with standard, full-time working hours

About your duties:

• Check and release incoming materials - raw material, components, packaging etc., based on required specifications.
• Perform retention procedures as per SOP
• Perform wet chemistry analytical techniques on raw materials
• Organise samples for external lab testing and file testing reports
• Maintenance of equipment and facility in laboratory
• Generate and apply various status labels on materials and products
• Update and manage related records and registers

About you:

• Tertiary qualification in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or similar
• Previous relevant experience within a GMP (pharmaceuticals/cosmetics) environment
• Previous laboratory experience
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proactive attitude, teamwork, attention to detail and project management skills.
