About the company:
The company is a well-known pharmaceutical company. Located in  Melbourne CBD, this company manufactures therapeutic products for the Australian and international markets.

About the role:
We are currently seeking a QC Laboratory Assistant with excellent communication skills and is self-motivated.
Reporting to the QC Team leader, this role is responsible for assisting the QC Analysts, ensuring stock is replenished, glassware cleaned and general house keeping of the laboratory.

 This is a full-time contract role with a view to extend for the right candidate.
Main Duties:
  • Responsible for general maintenance and cleaning of chemistry laboratory
  • Washing glassware for testing
  • Performing routine tasks such as receiving chemicals,
  • Filing
  • Calibrations of showers and water baths – weekly
  • Emptying lab waste containers
  • Keep area organised
  • Dispose non-toxic water samples
  • Assisting analysts with testing
  • May assist with making basic reagents
  • Basic chemistry testing
About you:
  • Experience with computer – will need to use Word documents and other software
  • Degree not required, seeking someone happy to do carry out general duties
  • Previous experience as a Laboratory Assistant desirable, eg in pathology or pharmaceutical, hospitals etc
This is NOT a testing role but purely assisting the Analysts.
