About the company/role:
  • Global pharmaceutical company based in Northern suburbs
  • Seeking Experienced QC Analytical Scientist who displays initiative and is self-motivated. 
  • 12 month casual contract 
  • Monday - Friday, standard working hours

Duties: 
This role will be a combination of documentation and bench work in the laboratory. Your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Develop experimental studies for the implementation of new methods and innovative technologies
  • Responsible for the development of experimental plans including estimated materials, times and resources required for the identified work.
  • Prepare, review and update standard operating procedures, test procedures, protocols and associated documentation
  • Provide subject matter knowledge to investigation of deviations, atypical results and method performance issues.
  • Identify, plan and execute testing requirements to complete studies with the appropriate documentation and presentation of results and findings.
     
To be successful in this position you will have:
  • Bachelor's degree majoring in Chemistry, life sciences or engineering
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in cGMP Quality Control or at least 1 years' experience in method development for assessment of biological pharmaceutical products.
  • Experience in method development, validation and/or transfer in Chromatography (LC, GC), Spectroscopy (AAS, UV) or Nitrogen Determination by Combustion
  • Previous work experience in analytical chemistry techniques and instrumentation
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of the aspects of analytical method lifecycle management
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Experience with quality management, documentation system and LIMS systems is desirable, but not essential
