About the company/role:
Our client is a cheese processing company who supplies leading food service and retail chains. The business is currently in a stage of growth and seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Coordinator that can grow alongside the business. The role will act as a 2IC to the Quality Manager and will support and guide the junior QA team. The role is a mix of hands-on QA and compliance-based duties.
 
Duties:
  • Investigate of non-conformances and customer complaints followed by root cause analysis
  • Generate reports for tracking and trending purposes
  • Manage product specifications, PIFs, artwork approval and country of origin information
  • Manage and update all QA documentation
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Carry out HACCP reviews, risk assessments and validation and verification programs
  • Lead the QA team and act as 2IC to the Quality Manager

Skills/experience:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or a related discipline
  • Previous experience in supervisor/ coordinator role
  • Previous experience within food manufacturing
  • Knowledge of HACCP/GMP/FSANZ
  • Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Be able to deal effectively with pressure and day to day challenges
