Quality Assurance Officer

About the role
An opportunity currently exists for an experienced QA Officer to join the team based in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne on an 3-6 month basis with a strong potential to go perminant. You will be reporting to the QA Manager
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Routine QA testing
• Monitoring production processes
• QC checks along the manufacturing line
• Assisting in managing customer complaints including investigation of the root cause of non-conformity of in-coming materials, in-process products and finished products
• Investigating out of specification results, including packaging, raw materials, finished products or environmental results
• Filing and maintaining production records
• General housekeeping duties of laboratory
• Conducting and participating in internal and external audits

 
Skills & experience:
 
To be successful for this role, you will possess the following:

• Minimum Tertiary Qualification in Food Science or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 year of experience as a QA/QC Officer within a food manufacturing Organisation
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and time management skills
• Laboratory experience in a dairy-related or food environment is advantageous
