About the RoleWe are seeking multiple motivated
Quality Assurance Officers to join a large-scale manufacturing site, north of Brisbane. Operating in a fast-paced, 24/7 production environment, this role is critical in ensuring product quality, food safety, and compliance across pet food and aquaculture feed manufacturing.
Working on a
12-hour rotating roster (days and nights), you will take ownership of quality assurance processes, ensuring products meet regulatory, customer, and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards (GMP, HACCP), carrying out routine checks across raw materials, production and finished goods
- Maintain QA records and manage non-conformances, including investigating issues and supporting corrective actions
- Assist with internal and external audits and general site compliance activities
- Carry out product sampling and testing (physical, chemical, microbiological) as required
- Maintain traceability, labelling accuracy and overall product compliance
- Work closely with production and other site teams to support quality outcomes and continuous improvement, including raising risks where needed
Skills/Experience You are detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about food safety and quality in a manufacturing environment.
To be successful, you will have:- A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Nutrition or similar
- 1 year experience in QA/QC within food, feed, or pet food manufacturing
- Hands-on experience with product testing (physical, chemical, microbiological)
- Exposure to GMP, HACCP, and audit processes
- Strong documentation, organisation, and communication skills
- Ability to work shift patterns, including nights and weekends
