About the role:Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
Quality Assurance Technician to join their team on a
full-time casual basis for a 12-month maternity leave contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-performing supply chain environment and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, food manufacturing setting.
You’ll play a key role in executing quality programs across finished products, raw materials, and water treatment processes. The position involves hands-on laboratory testing, sample coordination, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Flexibility to work reasonable additional hours across different business units is required.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct laboratory testing and calibration activities
- Monitor water treatment facilities and take corrective actions as needed
- Drive improvements in ingredient/raw material receipt and water treatment
- Coordinate internal and external sample testing
- Manage retention sample and hygiene/sanitation programs
- Support the QC Hold process and raise purchasing requests
- Participate in internal audits and operational excellence initiatives
- Provide line support and relieve QA team members when required
Skills & Experience:- Certificate qualifications in Quality Assurance or a related discipline
- 2–3 years’ experience in QA roles (FMCG or food manufacturing preferred)
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
- Effective project and change management capabilities
- Solid understanding of software applications and team collaboration
