About the role:
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join their team on a full-time casual basis for a 12-month maternity leave contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-performing supply chain environment and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, food manufacturing setting.

You’ll play a key role in executing quality programs across finished products, raw materials, and water treatment processes. The position involves hands-on laboratory testing, sample coordination, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Flexibility to work reasonable additional hours across different business units is required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct laboratory testing and calibration activities
  • Monitor water treatment facilities and take corrective actions as needed
  • Drive improvements in ingredient/raw material receipt and water treatment
  • Coordinate internal and external sample testing
  • Manage retention sample and hygiene/sanitation programs
  • Support the QC Hold process and raise purchasing requests
  • Participate in internal audits and operational excellence initiatives
  • Provide line support and relieve QA team members when required
Skills & Experience:
  • Certificate qualifications in Quality Assurance or a related discipline
  • 2–3 years’ experience in QA roles (FMCG or food manufacturing preferred)
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • Effective project and change management capabilities
  • Solid understanding of software applications and team collaboration
