About the role:Join a high‑performing food manufacturing team producing
specialty food ingredients including flavours, seasonings, coatings, dairy powders, plant proteins, marinades, stocks and beverage bases. This is a hands‑on QA role starting
casual with full-time hours, with a strong view to going
permanent after 3–6 months. Shift times are 6am-2pm.
You’ll support the laboratory and production teams by ensuring products meet strict quality and food safety standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Testing raw materials and finished goods
- ATP & allergen swabbing, hygiene inspections, and EMP swabs
- CCP verification checks
- Entering QA data into SAP for positive release
- Isolating non‑conforming stock and raising non‑conformances
- Supporting shelf‑life testing, retention sample management and routine audits
- Conducting GMP walks and contributing to continuous improvement
- Maintaining lab cleanliness and performing daily equipment calibrations
Skills/Experience- Diploma or Degree in Food Science, or relevant lab/industry experience
- Experience in food manufacturing laboratories
- Competency with Windows systems; SAP experience is a bonus
- A positive can-do attitude
- Ability to work the 6am–2pm shift
