Our client is a reputable and rapidly growing packaging organisation specialising in high‑quality products for the food and dairy industry. With continued expansion and strong market demand, they are now seeking a Quality Coordinator to join their thriving team on an ongoing basis.

This position plays a critical role in maintaining the organisation’s strong reputation for quality and compliance. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this is a key leadership role that directly influences the ongoing success of the site. The role is based in the south‑eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Compliance Associate / Quality Coordinator who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑intensity manufacturing environment. This role requires someone who is confident working across both documentation and compliance administration, as well as hands‑on quality checks on the production floor.

You will be responsible for managing and resolving quality concerns, supporting customer requirements, and ensuring that all processes meet internal and external standards. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to prioritise under pressure, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.

This is a dynamic role where no two days are the same, you will move between the office and the production floor, balancing investigative work, reporting, and real‑time quality monitoring.


Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing customer compliance requirements
  • Investigating customer complaints and non‑conformances
  • Conducting root‑cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
  • Preparing detailed reports and documentation
  • Providing customer support and follow‑up
  • Responding to quality issues in a timely manner
  • Performing regular production line and on‑the‑floor quality checks
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site
To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Science, Manufacturing, or Engineering (required)
  • HACCP / Food Safety qualifications (highly desirable)
  • 3 years previous experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally food or pharmaceuticals
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and investigative skills
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with internal teams and customers
  • Ability to work across multiple sites when required
  • Strong data analysis and report‑writing capability
  • A proactive, resilient approach suited to a busy, high‑pressure environment
