About the company/role:
Our Sydney office is recruiting for an experienced QC food science graduate to work as part of the quality team with a well-established pet food manufacturer based in Southwest Sydney. Our client is committed to providing locally sourced fresh and nutritious food to cats and dogs. This role is a full-time, casual afternoon shift (1pm-9pm) position.
 
Duties:
  • Routine and non-routine quality checks in compliance with ISO and HACCP standards
  • Raising and investigating NCRs and customer complaints
  • Direct involvement with internal and external audits
  • Traceability of raw materials and approved supplier programs
  • Maintaining documentation and ensuring CCPs are achieved
  • Driving food safety and continuous improvement projects
  • Sensory evaluation and ensuring products meet specifications

Skills/experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related discipline
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is desirable
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SQF
  • Ability to work as part of a fast-paced dynamic team
  • Strong computer skills MS Word/Excel
