Quality Coordinator

About the company/role:
Our client is an Australian confectionary manufacturer who sells to major retailers across Australia and internationally. They pride themselves on sustainably sourced raw materials, new product innovation and their people. Our client is looking for an experienced Quality Coordinator to join their team in South-West Sydney. This role is full-time, permanent and will report directly to the Quality Manager.
 
Duties:

• Ensure highest level of HACCP, GMP, WHS, food safety and quality are achieved across the site
• Direct involvement with internal and external audits
• Manage non-conformances and customer complaints, investigate root cause and implement corrective action
• Provide staff training for food safety and quality
• Lead mock recalls and traceability exercises
• Maintenance of SOPs, specifications and calibration programs
• Drive continuous improvement

Skills/experience:

• Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or a related discipline
• Previous experience in a QA role in the food industry is essential
• Understanding of HACCP, BRC, GMP, QMS necessary
• Excellent communication, computer, and organizational skills
• Be able to work and effectively lead a team
