About the role - 
  • Based in the south eastern suburbs. 
  • Mon to Friday with standard working hours but should be flexible
  • Permanent full time position
  • You'll be reporting to the Technical Manager
About your duties -
  • Coach, develop and support the Quality team
  • Improve the SQF program, conduct internal audits, allergen and preventative management program to support a high result in food standards
  • Ensure quality compliance and up-to-date documentation is adhered to with relevant national and international standards, local and international governing bodies
  • Oversee and delegate Quality team to support internal and external audits and other quality activities
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders to complete quality documentation such as PIFs, questionnaires, certification documents, etc.
  • Mitigate risks and guide Quality team to problem solve and seek alternative solutions on Quality Control issues
  • Actively partake in driving the Quality team to achieve high results in food quality
  • Provide technical support to all relevant stakeholders
  • Assist in driving continuous improvement in Quality Assurance and control systems and processes
About you -
  • Tertiary education in Food Science, or similar 
  • Confectionary background is preferred. 
  • Proven 3-5 experience in management of a Quality team
  • Knowledge of food technology systems and food quality
  • Technical training and accreditations (BRC and SQF Quality Management)
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written & verbal.
  • Ability to take directions and meet deadlines.
  • Pro-active and self-motivated with ability to plan and task manage numerous projects simultaneously.
