Quality Technician

About the role:
Currently our Sydney office is recruiting for a Food Quality (QA) Technician to work within a food manufacturing laboratory testing a range of food ingredients and finished products based in the Western Suburbs of Sydney. This is a 3-6 month casual role and is looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
 
Duties:

• Testing & analysis of product samples to ensure compliance with customer specifications
• Releasing products based on lab results and escalating OOS products
• Calibration of laboratory equipment and general laboratory maintenance
• Conducting GMP, traceability exercises and HACCP plan reviews
• Conducting internal audits and involvement with external audits (BRC, Halal, Kosher)
• Preparing certificate of analysis (CoA’s) for customers
• Working closely with the production team members

Skills & experience: 

• Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or equivalent
• Recent experience in a busy, fast paced food environment in a QA/QC role desirable
• Working knowledge of HACCP/GMP/GLP
• Strong computer skills MS Word/Excel
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work as part of a team
