About the company/role: Our client is a meat alternative, ready-to-eat food manufacturer based in North West Sydney. They are seeking an experienced Quality Technologist to join their team on a short-term basis – there are opportunities for extension or to apply for a longer term role. This a full-time, day shift position and will report directly to the QA Manager.
Duties:
Maintaining the QMS and a continuous improvement quality culture
Validate and verify prerequisite programs
Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions
Conduct environmental sampling and monitoring
Send samples and coordinate with external laboratories on results
Raise non-conformances and investigate with corrective actions
Ensure traceability of raw materials and finished goods
Maintain all quality documentation for audit purposes
Perform internal audits and assist with external audits
Skills/experience:
Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or a related discipline
QA experience in a food manufacturing environment is essential
Strong understanding of HACCP, GMP and Australian standards
High attention to detail and systematic approve to problem solving
Ability to work as part of a team and effective communication skills
Comfortable working in cold environments
