About the company/role:
Our client is a meat alternative, ready-to-eat food manufacturer based in North West Sydney. They are seeking an experienced Quality Technologist to join their team on a short-term basis – there are opportunities for extension or to apply for a longer term role. This a full-time, day shift position and will report directly to the QA Manager.
 
Duties:
  • Maintaining the QMS and a continuous improvement quality culture
  • Validate and verify prerequisite programs
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions
  • Conduct environmental sampling and monitoring
  • Send samples and coordinate with external laboratories on results
  • Raise non-conformances and investigate with corrective actions
  • Ensure traceability of raw materials and finished goods
  • Maintain all quality documentation for audit purposes
  • Perform internal audits and assist with external audits
Skills/experience:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or a related discipline
  • QA experience in a food manufacturing environment is essential
  • Strong understanding of HACCP, GMP and Australian standards
  • High attention to detail and systematic approve to problem solving
  • Ability to work as part of a team and effective communication skills
  • Comfortable working in cold environments
