About the company and role:We are currently seeking
Risk Managers to join our client for a
6-month contract role with
potential to extend. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the safe registration and management of agricultural chemicals, supporting Australia’s agricultural sector and environmental safety.
Monday to FridayStarting beginning of January 2026
Could reside in NSW or Canberra
Potentially WFH flexibility after initial training periodYour responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:- Review scientific advice and legislative requirements to support registration recommendations for agricultural products.
- Evaluate technical and scientific information, applying regulatory risk assessment principles.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and issue resolution.
- Prepare correspondence, briefs, reports, manuals, guidelines, and policies to support regulatory processes.
- Ensure confidentiality of commercial information and compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
- Manage application workflow to achieve timely processing within legislated deadlines.
About you:- Tertiary qualifications in biology, agricultural or horticultural science, entomology, weed science, pharmacology, toxicology, or physiology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide advice on complex scientific issues.
- Excellent organisational skills to prioritise a busy workload and meet deadlines without compromising accuracy.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
In addition to this, you are someone who has a strong attention to detail and looks for opportunities to learn and develop new skills.
