About the company/role:
  • Australia’s most comprehensive laboratory services organisation for therapeutic, vaccine and diagnostic development.
  • They develop and conduct pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic assays across a variety of areas to support preclinical studies and clinical trials.
  • Looking to recruit a Scientist on a 12-month permanent contract with potential to extend.
  • The purpose of this role is to provide assistance in the development, validation and conduct of immunology assays to comply with relevant standards, regulatory guidelines and SOP requirements.

Duties:
  • Conducting immunological assays for research, preclinical and clinical studies
  • Operating and assisting in the development and validation of biological assays, including ELISA
  • Handling of clinical samples
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines
  • General laboratory housekeeping
  • Ordering and maintaining supplies
  • Cleaning, maintenance and calibration of lab equipment
About you:
  • Tertiary qualification of honours or higher in Biological Sciences or a related discipline (PhD preferred)
  • 2-3 plus years demonstrated experience in conduct, research, development and validation of immunological assays – in particular ELISA
  • Experience with handling clinical samples and working in a quality-controlled environment (such as ISO 17025, GLP or similar) 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
