About the Role Our Client, a world-leading center for Mining safety and health research, is currently seeking a Senior Calibration Officer to join their Redbank based team for a full time 6-month contract, with potential for extension.
As a Senior Calibration officer you will provide a full range of calibration, research and technical support services to the Calibration Supervisor.
Duties:- Ensure the calibration laboratory maintains NATA accreditation for items within our scope of services
- Develop, implement and review technical and quality procedures and instructions associated with calibration activities
- Perform NATA calibration of gas monitors, flow meters, sampling pumps & temperature-controlled enclosures for external an internal clients
- Provide high level scientific advise to clients on the calibration services
- Prepare accurate estimates of costs and work schedules for calibration work to meet client requirements
Skills & Experience:- 5 years of experience in a NATA-accredited calibration laboratory
- Served as a NATA signatory
- Proficient in mathematics with a solid understanding of measurement uncertainty
- Experienced with ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 standards
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
