Seeking an experienced Microbiologist on a 6-month contract with high potential for extension/permanency
Located in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne

Duties:
Completion of complex QC Microbiology projects, manage own time to meet agreed targets and develop plans for work activities on own projects within a team
Lead efforts to improve process performance, procedures and reporting to meet changing quality and regulatory compliance.
Create, review, and approve compliant test method transfer and validation protocols and reports and equipment qualification/computer validation records.
Perform safety inspection of laboratories and surrounding office area as assigned and prepare a report.
Investigate out-of-specification and failure investigations and corrective actions and demonstrate problem solving abilities.
Support QC Microbiology with creating change controls including those that arise from assigned CAPAs.
Review and assess trends including trends for presentation at SQRT or ASRAT.
Oversee review and assessment of compendia updates and proposals for QC Microbiology.
Support requests from internal and external departments/customers (eg, Regulatory Affairs, Process Validation, Quality Assurance).
About you:
Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, or related discipline required
3+ years demonstrated experience working in a GMP environment within a Microbiology lab required
Demonstrated experience in method development/validation required
Experience in driving OOS investigations highly desirable
Seeking someone with excellent work ethic and drive
Strong verbal and written communication skills
