Senior Microbiology Analyst

• Seeking an experienced Microbiologist on a 6-month contract with high potential for extension/permanency
• Located in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne

Duties:

• Completion of complex QC Microbiology projects, manage own time to meet agreed targets and develop plans for work activities on own projects within a team
• Lead efforts to improve process performance, procedures and reporting to meet changing quality and regulatory compliance.
• Create, review, and approve compliant test method transfer and validation protocols and reports and equipment qualification/computer validation records.
• Perform safety inspection of laboratories and surrounding office area as assigned and prepare a report.
• Investigate out-of-specification and failure investigations and corrective actions and demonstrate problem solving abilities.
• Support QC Microbiology with creating change controls including those that arise from assigned CAPAs.
• Review and assess trends including trends for presentation at SQRT or ASRAT.
• Oversee review and assessment of compendia updates and proposals for QC Microbiology.
• Support requests from internal and external departments/customers (eg, Regulatory Affairs, Process Validation, Quality Assurance).

 
About you:
 

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, or related discipline required
• 3+ years demonstrated experience working in a GMP environment within a Microbiology lab required
• Demonstrated experience in method development/validation required
• Experience in driving OOS investigations highly desirable
• Seeking someone with excellent work ethic and drive
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
