Senior Payroll Officer

About company/role:

• Global pharmaceutical company
• Based in Melbourne CBD
• 6-month casual contract with potential to extend
• Full-time hours, Mon-Fri
• WFH 2 days a week once trained

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Lead redundancy and termination calculations, and manage related queries
• Reconcile leave balances between Workday, PayGlobal and payroll systems
• Identify inefficiencies and propose process enhancements
• Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and internal policies
• Support legislative and regulatory changes
• Manage payroll records, systems, and procedures
• Perform payroll reconciliations and month-end processing

Skills/experience:

• Tertiary education in HR/Accounting, Finance, Payroll or relevant discipline
• 3-5 years experience in a similar position
• Must have experience in redundancies, terminations, tax compliance, reconciliations
• Strong Excel experience (intermediate to advance)
• Experience using Workday and PayGlobal (advantageous)
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent attitude
