Senior Validation Specialist - Microbiology

About the company/role:

• Major pharmaceutical company
• Located close to Melbourne CBD
• 12 month contract, potential to extend
• Full-time hours, Mon - Fri

Duties, but not limited to:

• Lead troubleshooting investigations technical challenges with QC test method to deliver solutions for implementation through the quality system. (CAPA, Change Control)
• Provide guidance and SME oversite for execution of method standardisation and robustness
• Development of current and new test methods
• Responsible for experimental design on key projects that involve new technologies and processes to QC
• Maintains industry knowledge and awareness of new methods, equipment and techniques
• Development of new methods. Able to identify improvements which have a positive impact to the business
• Review validation data activites amd identify any detrimetnal trend or deviation

Skills/experience:

• Bachelor of Science majoring in Microbiology or closely related field
• 2-5 years of experience in a pharmaceutical company in a quality related role
• Experience in method development is essential
• Proven time management skills for planning and schedule of work
• Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques and advanced root cause analysis techniques
• Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
