Seeking a reliable and practical Service Technician to support water treatment operations various industrial sites. This is a
full-time casual ongoing position with full training and technical support provided.
About the Role You’ll be responsible for ensuring water treatment systems run safely and efficiently. Key tasks include:
- Confirming site access the day before each visit
- Checking in with site personnel on arrival
- Inspecting plant conditions and equipment, addressing issues where safe
- Monitoring chemical levels and requesting refills when required
- Maintaining on‑site chemical inventory and coordinating orders
- Conducting routine water testing and recording results
- Preparing clear service reports with photos, comments, and action items
- Communicating service outcomes with customer contacts
- Attending site at short notice when urgent issues arise
Requirements We welcome applicants from a range of scientific/engineering backgrounds, including those without formal qualifications but with a willingness to learn.
- An understanding, or willingness to learn, basic chemistry and engineering concepts
- The ability to work independently and absorb training quickly
- Strong attention to detail
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence using a laptop, Excel, Word, and email
- A practical, hands‑on approach to troubleshooting
- Reliability and accuracy in testing and reporting
- Basic plumbing knowledge (advantageous but not essential)
