About the company/role: Evolve Scientific Recruitment is seeking a
Site Quality Manager, to lead and direct the QA/QC teams for our client, an Australian dairy secondary /value add manufacturer based in Sydney’s Western Suburbs.
They are seeking an established Site Quality Manager, reporting to the group QA Manager and CEO, to join their team and lead the site in all matter’s quality related. This position will have 3-4 direct reports: with dotted lines to a wider team of 10+ QA/QC officers. It is essential to have experience working as a Quality Manager within the food/beverage industry.
The company is growing significantly and adding shifts (5am-12pm) and lines for the expanding QSR/retail market.
Flexibility around shift times is required to cover issues that may arise.
Duties: Provide leadership across the site for all matters relating to quality
Leading internal, external and customer audits and manage corrective actions
Manage GMP across the site and coordinate improvement plans
Attend senior leadership meetings
Hands on production floor focus, driving change, implementing continuous improvement and technology roll outs.
Responsibility for rostering of teams, training on QA for staff, have a high visibility on site.
Skills/experience: Several years’ experience as an established Quality Manager in the food/beverage industry
Bachelor’s degree in food science or a related
Experience working in a fast moving, dynamic environment highly desirable
Experience in SQF/WQA, HACCP, ISO, GMP
Excellent leadership and communication skills essential
Strong attention to detail and technical skills
Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
