Snr Project Engineer

About the company:

Our client is a global leader in space pharmaceuticals with the aim of expanding their site and manufacturing lines at their southeast Melbourne facility.


The role:

We are seeking an experienced project engineer / manager who can control the work packages within the projects:
 

• Examples – managing work packages that are equipment based on the project, new equipment coming in, seeking the person to take responsibility for the items and see through and manage their implementation
• Ensuring that testing occurs at factory, equipment arrives and is installed correctly, and that commissioning and qualification is done.
• Manage the process all the way through the project delivery phases
• Seeking someone who can come in and understand where things are up to and delivery to cost and time requirements

 
Responsibilities:
 

• Planning and managing smaller capital projects related to construction activities
• Provides technical engineering support for PLC’s, Laboratory, Corporate Office and Plasma Collection Centers
• Point of contact for internal subject matter experts and external Design & Construct organizations
• Coordinates/oversees all aspects of the project lifecycle, including preliminary project plan development, scheduling and tasking internal resources, issues management, budgeting/forecasting

 
 
An ideal candidate must have:

• Engineering qualifications (chemical, process or mechanical engineer)
• 3-10 yrs experience in industry in a similar role (pharma or biotech - desirable) or ideally seeking someone with packaging lines / experience
• (similar industries would be considered eg food and beverage, dairy)

Open to WHV candidates who can work for the full length of the assignment if they have the exact skills and experience***********
