This is a short-term contract with standard 38 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Start date: Monday 16th December 2025 - Friday 6th March 2026 Based in South Sydney
Duties: Lab Support: Assist with sample receipt, registration, and general housekeeping. Sample Prep: Prepare samples for testing and carry out basic wet chemistry (e.g., making standard solutions) Barley Analysis: Receive and organise barley samples, grade quality, and maintain inventory. Micromalting: Help run small-scale malt production, monitor grain, collect samples, and prepare them for analysis. Lab Testing: Support routine analysis of malt samples using wet chemistry techniques. Equipment Care: Clean and maintain micromalting and lab equipment.
What we're looking for: Currently studying science (chemistry, food science, or a related field) Attention to detail and willingness to learn Ability to follow safety and lab protocols
This opportunity is excellent for students looking to gain industry experience as this is a short term contract ending in March.
