About the Company:         

Based in Western Sydney, close to public transport, our client is an advanced, licenced, clinical-grade biotechnology manufacturing facility producing specialised gene therapy tools. It will have the production capacity to meet the growing demand for gene therapy research and clinical trials in Australia and internationally.
Close to trains and public transport, very limited parking on site.

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a skilled Technical Writer, part time to join their team for a 6 month contract. You will work closely with the QC/Process Development team to compile data, prepare SOPs and protocols etc. This will ensure data generated is recorded and accredited in a timely manner as per GMP, TGA requirements.
The research has a strong focus on ELISA assays development, mammalian cell culture and viral vectors. Equipment includes: Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) system, Akta Pilot (chromatography), Wave Bioreactor and SciPres Pressure Monitor.
This is a 24 hours per week, part time role and there is flexibility around hours and days worked.

Skills & Experience:

  • Ability to commit to a 6 month, part time contract. Anticipated start date July/Aug 2024.
  • Previous experience within Biological Sciences (BSc, MS or PhD – preferably PhD).
  • Knowledge of the above equipment, cell culture and viral vectors highly desirable.
  • Experience in writing GMP SOPs and documentation within an accredited facility to TGA /FDA or related.
  • Experience preparing technical reports, detailing experimental outcomes and observations.
  • Previous experience in writing and preparing experimental reports and material specifications.
  • Strong written / verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple teams.
