About the company and role: We are currently seeking a
Technician Operator to join a well-known plastic manufacturing company on a
contract with view to go permanent. This is a full-time position working across Monday-Friday, requiring flexibility between both 5am-12pm and weekends. You will rotate across day and afternoon shifts every other week. Reporting to the shift supervisor, general duties of such roles may include, but are not limited to: - Operations of all processing machinery, ensuring it is running smoothly
- Set-up, dismantling and troubleshooting of production equipment
- Cleaning and re-assembly of production equipment
- Forklift operations to move stock
- Maintaining batch documentation (dispatch)
- General site cleaning and maintenance
- Following regulations and SOPs
About you: - Previous experience operating machinery (setting/operating) in FMCG industry or similar industry is highly regarded
- Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and technical skills with ability to troubleshoot
- Current forklift license (or willing to obtain one)
- Excellent communication, time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to self-manage and work autonomously
