Our government client is looking for an TO2 Technical Officer to join their team on a temporary basis until January 2027. You will be working with Argi-Science Queensland as part of the Microbial Ecology Group.
Duties:
Preparation of buffers, solutions and anaerobic microbiological media
Processing of plant material samples for freeze-drying and milling
Labelling of sample collection tubes
Weighing of feed required for experiments (fermentations, in vitro methane batch screening assays)
General laboratory tasks
Skills/experience:
Minimum qualification of Associate Diploma in Science, Diploma or Degree (Science field)
Q Fever vaccination or willingness to have Q Fever testing/vaccination
Demonstrated Laboratory experience
Good communication and organisational skills
Current drivers licence
Experience in microbiology and/or molecular biology
