Evolve Scientific Recruitment are partnering with a renowned and growing organisation to source a Junior Scientist for their laboratory based in Brisbane City, close to the CBD.
Reporting through to the Laboratory Manager, this role will perform sample processing of immunological assays to support research, preclinical and clinical studies. You will become a part of a small, energetic and passionate team with opportunities to travel domestically. 


About the role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing organisation with the opportunity to work on varied and interesting projects. You will have the opportunity to perform sample processing of immunological assays to comply with relevant standards, regulatory guidelines, and SOP requirements. 

The role will be responsible for (but not limited to):
  • Receive goods, reagents and biological samples;
  • Prepare solutions, buffers and reagents for use in a variety of assays;
  • Assist in the development, optimization and validation of biological assays, particularly a range of immunology techniques and other assays including flow cytometry, ELISA
  • Data analysis and reporting of experimental findings;
  • General laboratory duties – cleaning glassware, maintenance and calibration of instrumentation, sample receival and documentation review.
  • Be available to work after hours, including weekends, from time to time.

Recent Molecular Biology/Biomedical/Biotechnology graduates are encouraged to apply
Skills & Experience:
The successful applicant must have:
  • A tertiary qualification in Biological Sciences or related discipline is a MUST,
  • Excellent reporting and data analysis skills;
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise activities;
  • An understanding and appreciation of regulatory requirements such NATA;
  • A positive and proactive attitude
