About the role:
Currently Evolve Scientific is recruiting for a global food manufacturer, this is an Auckland based role as a Product Developer. Work within a leader in its field; food manufacturing of meat/fish/poultry, protein based value added meats e.g. sausages/meatballs/tray bakes marinades etc. Providing a broad product range for a leading supermarket chain.
Collaborative role, as Product Developer you will be across all aspects of product trial & validation procedures at the Auckland site. Project management of the stage gate process. This is a permanent role.

Coordinate the PD process and project manage alongside the customer, developing new concepts, adapting existing products, driving customer cost reduction projects and much, much more.
Manage supplier relationships and hit timelines.
You will possess a versatile and innovative mind and a passion for food and developing new products. 

Skills & experience: 
  • Qualifications in Food Science or similar desirable
  • Experience in food product development essential.
  • Meat manufacturing, value add categories PD experience desirable.
  • Experience in the PD processes within a business from initial concept, re-work projects, production trials and production handover.
  • Experience in project management and managing client expectations and timelines  
  • Clear thinking, self-motivated, results driven individual.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with commercial acumen
