As they continue to grow, we are seeking a Senior Quality Control Chemist to join their team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the excellence of their products.


Duties:

Reporting to the QC Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
 
  • Leading a small team of Chemist ensuring training and being a mentor to junior staff.
  • Perform a wide range of quality control tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to ensure compliance with established specifications.
  • Develop and validate analytical methods for the analysis of personal care products.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
  • Analyse and interpret data, prepare reports, and make recommendations for process improvements based on quality control findings.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and ensure all products meet regulatory and safety requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve quality-related issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain accurate records, document test results, and create standard operating procedures (SOPs) for quality control processes.
  • Operating HPLC daily, troubleshooting, analysing data and results

Skills/experience:
  • Degree in Chemistry or equivalent
  • GMP Experience is a MUST
  • Strong Communication skills is a MUST
  • Knowledge of method validation procedures
  • Possess good knowledge of quality and safety standards
  • Shows a can-do attitude with a strong attention to detail and accuracy in quality of work
  • People Management is a MUST
