As they continue to grow, we are seeking a Senior Quality Control Chemist to join their team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the excellence of their products.
Duties: Reporting to the QC Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Leading a small team of Chemist ensuring training and being a mentor to junior staff.
- Perform a wide range of quality control tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to ensure compliance with established specifications.
- Develop and validate analytical methods for the analysis of personal care products.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
- Analyse and interpret data, prepare reports, and make recommendations for process improvements based on quality control findings.
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and ensure all products meet regulatory and safety requirements.
- Investigate and resolve quality-related issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate records, document test results, and create standard operating procedures (SOPs) for quality control processes.
- Operating HPLC daily, troubleshooting, analysing data and results
Skills/experience:- Degree in Chemistry or equivalent
- GMP Experience is a MUST
- Strong Communication skills is a MUST
- Knowledge of method validation procedures
- Possess good knowledge of quality and safety standards
- Shows a can-do attitude with a strong attention to detail and accuracy in quality of work
- People Management is a MUST
